INTRODUCTION
An Italian proverb says, “It is not enough to aim. You must hit.” It is very crucial to know what you are aiming at in order for you to be able to hit your target. Meanwhile, the main crux of the issue is: What are you aiming at in life? What if someone does not have a well-structured goal or better still a pursuable vision, definitely such an individual will have nothing to aim at not to mention a targeted hit. Someone once said, if you don’t have a destination in mind any road will do.
In life, your upward ascension is restricted in the place of darkness, for the ability to progress strongly depends on how much you can see ahead at any point in time. It is in line with this that our Creator commanded that we must have a well-conceived vision of what we are created for or else there will absolutely be nothing to aim at not to talk of hitting a predetermined target. As humans we are driven by what we know. For, having a goal in mind and knowing how to achieve it provides you with the power to hit your envisioned target.

You have to understand that one of many selective tools to employ in hitting your targets is in the words that you speak, which provides you with one of the most effective weapons required in achieving your target. For in life, we live by the words we speak, therefore we are products of the words of our mouth. So, it is of utmost importance that we are meticulously selective of the right words to speak at any point in time, because this virtue can ultimately set us in line of greatness. It is with this perspective and understanding that "144 GOLDEN NUGGETS OF VISION EMPOWERMENT" was conceived in order to furnish us with the essential materials needed to guide us towards the attainment of our predestined vision, for every incisive quotations therein provides a more expansive understanding of the whole essence of our Creation.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT…

Firstly, in life if you are not inspired, you become expired. You must endeavour to discover what inspires you. I want you to know that it is not by mistake or coincidence that you have decided to read this book. Over the years, a lot have been said about vision and there have been lots of confusion about it. However, let us carefully examine what the word “Vision” represents in the context of this book and beyond. Vision is viewed as a desired goal with a structured plan and a set-time for achieving such plan with the necessary tools in place. It can also be seen as the act or power of perceiving imaginative mental images; foresight, a vivid concept or mental picture; a pleasing imaginative plan for, or anticipation of future events.
The word empowerment, on the other hand, is derived from the word ‘empower’ which means to authorize individuals to make decisions in matters relating to self-development. With this understanding serving as our reference point, I implore you to do the following for me as a favour: empty whatever it is you have on your mind (This may sound funny but remember it's a favour). Whatever you are faced with just put it aside for the duration of this book (I know you may be saying you must be joking) and endeavour to concentrate fully without any forms of distraction. Similarly, all forms of anxiety or reflections on failures of the past, challenges you are experiencing should be ignored for the time been. Although, you may not win a lottery ticket after digesting the content of this book, but be reassured that three good things will happen to you:
Firstly, this book will make you understand that your past and present failures, trials and tribulation, disappointments you have been experiencing may actually be an indicator of what you are being called to achieve by your Creator.
Secondly, after evaluating your position and present status in the map of life, you can then ask yourself, “What kind of individual am I?” This book will help you take an inventory of where you are, where you want to be and how you are going to get there, ultimately achieving the vision for your life.
Thirdly, this book will act as a catalyst that will motivate you towards the attainment of your desired vision, because this is mandatory. We have been instructed by our Creator to have a VISION or else we will perish.
According to the Great Book, “Where there is no VISION, the people perish.” This simply tells us that vision is a very important phenomenon in the whole life experiences of any human being. The complete functionality of any individual is based on his ability to identify what his vision is and how to achieve it. I have been privileged to encounter few great men and women, whom have influenced me both in my personal and business life. One attribute that is common to them is that they are all visionaries. I studied some of them closely and found out that what they have been able to achieve in their respective fields of endeavour was not by accident, but rather by sheer determination, which was as a result of having a clearer vision of where they wanted to be.
Also, I’ve read autobiographies of some prominent individuals, visionaries of major corporations (like Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group), great inventors (like Henry Ford of Ford Motors), founders of Human Aid Organizations(like Bono the lead singer of the rock band U2 and the co-founder of DATA-DEBT, AIDS, TRADE, AFRICA), exemplary Presidents (like Nelson Mandela of South Africa), Great activists (like Dr Martin Luther King Jr. of the Civil Rights Movement) Church leaders(like Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House, Dallas-Texas, US), Great mothers (like Mama Winnas of the Winnas family) & Great fathers(like Joseph, the father of Jesus Christ of Nazareth), Great sports Men (like PELE, the Brazilian football Icon), Great sports Women (like Ellen Macarthur who set the world record for the fastest circumnavigation in her yacht), laudable actors (like Ronald Reagan, who later became the President of The United States), high-profile actresses or inspiring TV presenters (like Oprah Winfrey).

In addition, there are other distinguished personalities worthy of recognition because of their extraordinary contributions to the global community in general. Individuals like Mother Teresa of Calcutta (who founded the Missionaries of Charity), Africa Nobel prize-winner, Professor Wole Soyinka of Nigeria and the Former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ambassador Kofi Annan of Ghana. Also, the 20th Century’s most remarkable entrepreneur, Konosuke Matsushita of Matsushita Electric. Not forgetting Sir William Wilberforce, the Great Anti-Slave Trade Campaigner (who spearheaded the campaign and eventually abolition of slave trade). They all share a common denominator, they were all vision-driven!
In life, you cannot get to your destination accurately if there are no navigational aids. You have to know where you are so as to know where you are going. You have to understand that visions are conceived differently: some out of pain, some borne out of persistence, some out of desperation, some out of personal sufferings, some out of defeat and some out of the understanding of what is needed, while most were inspired out of the needs of others. Every human being is born with a different vision. Our Creator has a plan for every one of us; it is our duty to discover it!
It is preferable to purchase a brand new product because whenever there is a problem; it will make sense to go back to the manufacturer of that product to get informed on what needs to be done correctly for the product to function properly. In the same vein, we need to go on a discovery journey to find out what the Creator has placed on the inside of us. You cannot pursue other people’s vision but that which the Creator has chosen for you. Not what we want to do in life that matters, but what we are created to do. To some it is easier for them, while for others it could take years to discover it. It does not matter how long it takes, you must discover it.However, the most important of all is to know and do it.
It was recorded in the Holy Bible that a man called Methuselah had children and was 969 years old when he died, which is the only thing we know about him. Yet, there are other people who lived lesser years than that but made a lasting impact on their generation. Now I ask, are you just living or exiting? Are you just getting by?, Is it business as usual? It is of uttermost importance for every human being to make an impact in life. It does not matter how minute it might seem, just endeavor to add value to humanity the best way you can. Do not be a looker, be a doer. We don’t have to continue staying where we are without attempting to move forward.



TURN YOUR DISABILITIES INTO ABILITIES

According to a Scripture in the Great Book (The Bible), in 2 Kings Chapter 7 verse 3, there were four leprous men who sat at the entrance of a gate saying, “Why are we sitting here until we die?” Soon afterwards, they decided to achieve something positive with their disabilities. They analyzed where they were and evaluated where they were going. Eventually, they prepared for the task and took action. We cannot afford to have a pity party for ourselves and invite others to join us just because we have one form of disability or the other. In life, whatever we attract, we become. We must learn to transform our disabilities to abilities, weaknesses to strengths, failures to successes, impossibilities to possibilities, disadvantages to advantages. We also have to understand that no quest no justice, no war no victory, no struggles no achievements, no attempts no accomplishments, no efforts no successes, no labour without profit.
It’s about time we woke up to life fully because destiny is calling. Most times, it is difficult to yield but all it requires is just a single step; for a Chinese proverb says, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”… just that single step is all that is required! No matter the size of your VISION, you have to believe you can do it even when people say it cannot be done. Let that serve as a challenge to you; see it as a motivator. Quoting Scott Volkers, “The greatest pleasure in life is achieving things that people say can’t be done”. Whoever says you can’t do it? The only one that can stop you or can stand in the way of achieving your vision is YOU.
Understanding comes to us on how to go about our VISION by way of Empowerment.
Empowerment starts when we begin to take control of our own life, before we start to empower others. For you cannot give what you don’t have, neither can you teach what you don’t know. I have come, not with a fantastic concept or enticing words to heighten your hope, but to stir you into taking result-oriented actions in matters concerning your life, and for you to move from where you are to where you ought to be. I’m giving some practical tools that are necessary for you to get to the next stage of your life if well implemented.
Now let us go on a journey called vision empowerment and discover how we can get to our destination with the 12P’s of the FOUNDATION of Vision Empowerment aiding us. These are: PLACE, PREPARATION, PROTECTION, PLANNING, PROCRASTINATION, PATIENCE, PEOPLE, PERSISTENCE, POSITIONING, PRAISE, PROVISION and PROMISE. Get your mind prepared, the journey is about to begin, for “SUCCESS IS ONLY A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION”…

NEVER BE TOO AFRAID NOT TO START

Many people wake-up everyday with ideas running through their minds of what they want to do, may be something that could change their lives for better and as soon as they decide to start or to give it a proper tick in their mind they taught may be not. The idea could be to start a business of their own, to go for a degree programme or a political position whatever the ideas might be, they tend to major on the reasons why it will not workout rather then focus and expound their energy on why it will workout. They procreate so many problems for the ideas they’ve not even started, they ensure that those ideas goes down the drain or away into the dark blue sky and they have a feeling of satisfaction; mind you it is like a pregnancy they desire so much but they are not ready to conceive it. Someone once said, “Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be Overcome” this tells us that we sometimes don’t have to get everything together before we can start; we need to make use of what we have to start and gradually increase from there to move on to the next level.

Mary Kay Ash, the founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics Incorporated the Dallas-based, direct-to-customer selling company says “If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you’re right.” It was observed that, the bumble bee’s body according to the Law of aerodynamics, is too heavy to fly, she relates the wings are too weak, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it and goes right on flying. SET LIFE GOALS FOR YOURSELF

It is amazing how individuals pass through life's without realizing what they can achieve by committing themselves into writing one important thing, that will transform their lives into greatness but given the least priority. They major on the minor things and minors on the major things. I`ve found out that goals and plans are the keys to achievements and successes, in fact statistics have proven that only 3% of us have goals and write them down. Interestingly only another 10% of us have goals and plans but keep them in their heads. But, the most dangerous one is the 87% of us drift through life without a definitive goals or plans. These sets of individual don`t know where they are going but let others dictate to them where they are going.

It is important to take into account that the 3% who have their goals and plans written down accomplish it from 50 to 100 times more during their lifetime than the 10% who have goals and plans but kept it in their heads. It is shocking to found out, that many people overestimate what they can do in a year (remember no goals and plans set for that year) and underestimate what they can do in a lifetime. Now what can YOU DO, it is very simple. Quickly write this down;

• Set yourself a clear goals
• Find an establish plan of action in achieving those goals
• Put those goals and plans into a notebook (find a notebook for the year), give it a specific time
• Celebrate those goals when they are achieved.

Before I forget, to make your goals useful, we need to make them SMART. The acronym SMART stands for:

It is very important for us as a Company to stress the importance of Customer Care Training, not any kind of training but that which is effective, also ensuring that the Front-Line Personnel are adequately equipped and informed of their true primary role (caring for people) and how it fits into the overall Vision of the Church, if is to position itself for the 21st Century Challenges.

WHAT IS CUSTOMER CARE
Customer Care is often the first and probably the only contact church attendees will have with any Church. Its quality, or the lack of it is a serious factor in the reputation and success of virtually all spirit filled Churches in terms of Caring for all attendees, right from THE DOOR.


CUSTOMER CARE IN THE HOUSE OF GOD
Now, this brings us to a very important question; what is customer care in the house of God? Or some might say, this is a wrong question to ask but if was a Banking or an Hospitality Organisation then the question will be acceptable. Let us bear in mind that the Great Book, the Bible, says in Matthew 25:35-45: I was Hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink…-“you failed to do it to me.”
It is of a general notion, with a greater percentage of People in our different communities that believes a Church is in the business of Caring for People; more so, they have a greater expectation that exceeds any other thing that when they go to any Church they will be treated like a King (retrospectively speaking) compared to other places they’ve been to and this might influence there decision if they would ever come back to that Church again. Perhaps if they were badly treated, they did not get the opportunity to listen to the Pastors Sermon or welcoming comment as First Timers.
Can we now say, the tasks of bringing people back to the Church is not always the work of the Pastors sometimes it lies with them but invariably greater reasons lies with the Front-Line Personnel because they are the first point of contact of any Church to their Community-the people; so they are the eyes that the people would need to see the Church with/in.

WHAT IS TRAINING
Training is the formal teaching of skills and can be often undertaken by any Church as a strategic activity aimed at improving the performance of the Church as a whole in terms of caring from THE DOOR step. In a Church, Training is required on a regular basis in order to improve the way in which we care for the Church attendees right from the point of entry, THE DOOR.

WHY THIS TRAINING AND THE IMPORTANCE OF IT
The word of God says in Proverbs, Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights. Learning is an activity that is not restricted by age. Every stage of life presents lessons to be learned. We can choose to be teachable and continue to learn, or we can be close-minded and stop growing. The decision is ours. In order to serve effectively and efficiently we have to open our minds to learning. We have to be adequately equipped to serve effectively in the House of God. And that is why adequate training is required for the Front-Line Personnel, so that the Church can position itself for the 21st Century challenges.

WHO IS THE TRAINING FOR
Training yourself to be sensitive to the needs of other people in the House of God is required of the Personnel that is going to handle or deal with lives of People visiting the Church for the very first time. Some departments in the Church are like the Surgeons because they are in the open theatre. For these Personnel are the eyes of the Church to the Public. There are four crucial departments that fits into this categories more than other departments due to the nature of their assignment, for Romans 12:4 says... and not all the members serve the same function.
These departments are divided into two segments Internal and External.
Ushering and Parking Departments being the external are the first point of contact with the Church attendees. Let’s take the Parking Personnel who are the first point of contact for people with Vehicles and at the entrance, the Ushers are first point of contact for people without Vehicles.
In the same manner, we have the Hospitality and Protocol Department. They are the Internal eyes of the Church. It is important to note, for instance, if you have a Guest Minister, it is the duty of the Protocol and Hospitality personnel to cater for their needs. Don’t forget or lets bring to our remembrance that these two Departments are Vital. Without the full co-operation of both the External and Internal Personnel working together it would be difficult for one to function effectively over the other, for they are to work together as they are Members Of One Body.


BENEFITS
Training can improve retention of workers when it is used to motivate the Front-Line Personnel and increase their commitment to the Church.
Any problem relating to serving can be solved with effective training- lack of interest of being a team member and absenteeism may decrease.
Church attendance may increase with both External & Internal personnel becoming more effective in attracting new members after training in different Customer Care techniques.
The respective teams can keep up with developments in technology by investing in training.
Team recruitment may become easier when a Church has a reputation as one that is committed to Customer Care Training.
The number of people required to do a job may decrease resulting in a reduction in the amount of time spent by Pastors or Team Leaders on the need of workers in the Church.
Altruistic benefits may be found- contribution to the Community or investment in People, may be a Valuable benefit in some Churches.

TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT
This refers to a Statement of what people should expect from taking part in the training and what they should not expect. The Bible says in Habakkuk Chapter 2:2, Write the Vision And make it plain on tablets. That he may run who reads it. It is important for us to stress the need of the kind of training we’re talking about that isn’t teeth gritting, white-knuckle, do-or-die attitude nor laying of Hands for Customer Care anointing towards serving in the House of God. But, our flexible approach to Training is to impact learning to do the Right thing, in the Right way and with the Right Spirit and Less Fuss. WHAT DOES IT COST
It is important to stress the need for the cost of this training not as something to concentrate on. It would appear that these training would cost an Arm and a Leg if we have to consider all the highlighted sub-titles and reasons why it is important to train the Front-Line Personnel in a Church setting, so to speak.
But, we don’t believe that money should be our driving force rather let it be our passion to have excellent prevailing and most importantly love which surpasses all things you can think or imagine. If your goal is to prosper the Kingdom, then love must supersede all motives because love is the most universal language spoken by all Humans Beings bearing in mind that Christ love us first. As a company, it is our principle to sow the right seed and most importantly in a good soil. And for this singular reason, we have decided to provide this Training and every other thing attached, apart from the Venue for the training FREE OF CHARGE as a token of our love to your Church for; “Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return.” As a Company it is our practice in life to demonstrate love not only in words but in deeds.


VENUE
The suitability of the venue can have an effect on the delegates` learning and also a positive impact on the objectives of the Training. It is important for our facilities team to access the venues provided by the interested Churches in terms of Health & Safety, Insurance etc. Also included in their list would be to check for A/C, Parking Slots, Sitting Arrangements, Food and other Resources.

TRAINING DURATION
As recommended, it would be a 5 hours Training Session from 10AM-3PM on a Saturday.

CONCLUSION
Let us not forget, we are (the Church) set on a Hill Top to Shine and to show forth His Glory, more so He would be coming back for a Glorious Church without wrinkles or blemishes. It is said in the word of God many are called but few are chosen, the same also applies to this training as it would not be embraced by everyone. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10, For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

A conversation goes like this WHO ARE YOU?
You began to describe yourself by where you are at present!
You began to describe yourself by the problem you are been faced with!
You began to describe yourself by your circumstances!
You began to call yourself by the name people called you, a failure!
You said, people say I can’t make it because my environment dictates who I become!
You said my environments says I can’t live in this kind of Neighborhoods nor this
Kind of houses nor drive this kind of cars (excerpt am dubious) and I accepted it!
Your circumstance dictates to you there is a limit to where I can reach in life
For there is a roof over my head which I cannot go past or beyond!
You told yourself I had a failed marriage, I can’t marry again!
You told yourself I have loss many businesses, therefore am not entitled to own
Any more business for I might fail again!
They said I can’t have a child but I know I can have a child but
I choose to accept IT!
They said evidences shows that I have a dysfunctional upbringing that’s why I
Behave the way I do, I know I can be better, but I choose to believe it, so I
Remain dysfunctional rather than functional!
But, almost towards the end of your conservation, a voice from above intercepts!
MY CREATOR says to me that is not who I Created you to be!
That’s what your environments, circumstances and people say you are!
Not what I created you to be, I asked you again WHO ARE YOU? I replied am confused!
MY CREATOR said to me, you see yourself as what you’ve been faced with or been through.
Or are you corked up on the inside ready to explode... the poem continues in the book.
